Empowerment for knitwear designers through

proofreading and editing services

That’s an odd name…

To me, Quaint Anarchy elicits the spirit of creativity and freedom that can be expressed through knitting and designing, with a little punk spirit of rebellion sprinkled in.

My Knitting has been called “quaint”, which translates to charmingly old-fashioned, and yet it’s a craft that has withstood the test of time.

“Anarchy” is a theory that a community is best organized by the voluntary cooperation of individuals.

We may use standard sizing charts and generally accepted industry terms, but we encourage each other to modify garments to fit our bodies, choose yarns that show off our personalities, and explore new techniques and stitch patterns. We gather at local yarn shops, cafes, or breweries to support our neighbors and foster community.

From Pussy Hats to Wartime Espionage and Hønsestrik:

let’s smash the patriarchy one stitch at a time.

How Can I Help…?

What I can do to ensure your knitting patterns are clear, consistent, and technically correct for publishing, so that knitters of all skill levels can re-create your samples with the greatest possible accuracy and readability.
